After having worked together on Dev D and Udaan, UTV Spotboy and Anurag Kashyap are collaborating on another project, this time a comedy film, Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana.
The film, shooting for which started in Punjab last week, stars Kunal Kapoor and Huma Qureshi in the lead roles. The movie is about the quirks of a Punjabi joint family and the secret recipe for a famous chicken curry ‘Chicken Khurana’, which forms the crux of the plot.

The film marks the directorial debut of Sameer Sharma, with Anurag Kashyap as creative producer and Jar Entertainment as line producer. Amit Trivedi will compose the music and background score of the film. LSTCK will be extensively shot in Punjab and is slated for release mid 2012.

Commenting on the association, Siddharth Roy Kapur, CEO of UTV Motion Pictures said, “Anurag shared this script with us and we instantly fell in love with the characters and the world that the writer Sumit Batheja has created. Very few stories can make you laugh out loud one moment and bring a lump in your throat the next, and Luv Shuv maintains that delicate balance of humour and emotion throughout. Anurag Kashyap adds, “Together we have done some really good stuff starting with Aamir and then Dev D and Udaan. And we hope to repeat the same with Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana.”
