On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Uri: The Surgical Strike to be re-released in theatres. The screening is only for today across the cinemas in Maharashtra and the response for this Vicky Kaushal starrer is on the expected lines.
The free screening of Uri: The Surgical Strike is held in across 500 theatres of Maharashtra at 10 am slot. And just like it created a rage upon its release in January, the movie is running with packed houses. Speaking about Mumbai, almost 95% of theatres are showing houseful boards and in others, the occupancy is around 90-95%. Surprisingly in Pune, all theatres are jam-packed, which is worth mentioning.
Yesterday it was reported that at Sahyadri guest house, Ex-Servicemen Welfare Minister Sambhaji Patil- Nilangekar had a meeting with film distributors, theatre owners and film organizations. After the meeting, everyone agreed on the proposal of free screening.
The motive behind the free screening was to ignite a patriotism amongst the youth and inspire them.
