UP CM Yogi Adityanath Gives A Nod To Register An FIR Against Coronavirus Infected Kanika Kapoor?

Ever since the news of Kanika Kapoor being tested positive for COVID-19 broke, the internet is going crazy over it. The Baby Doll singer flew from London on March 9, 2020 and landed in Mumbai first where the officials asked her to get herself checked which she allegedly refused and later flew to Lucknow and hid her travel history from airport authorities there.

Kanika attended 3-4 parties and one of them was an elite one at Taj, Lucknow where a few politicians and bureaucrats were present. While the netizens are mad over her careless behaviour, they also demanded an arrest for the same. The media reports now suggest that UP CM Yogi Adityanath has given his nod to file an FIR against her.

“The FIR will be lodged against her because she came from London and was aware of the corona safety protocols. She apparently did not get tested at the airport and even though she was developing symptoms, she freely attended parties and mingled with a large number of people,” said a senior police official.

The people who were present at those parties have been asked for self-isolation too and asked to get tested for coronavirus. In fact, in one of the parties, senior BJP leader Vasundhara Raje along with his son, Dushyant Singh was also present and have already gone under self-isolation and taking preventive measures for the widespread of the virus.
