Sai Bhallal, who stars in the popular TV serial Udaan as Kamalnarayan Rajvanshi, was arrested on Wednesday for sending lewd messages to his 58 year-old co-star. According to the complaint lodged by her, Ballal sent her pornographic and objectionable videos through WhatsApp and started harassing her on the sets. He also molested her several times ever since April.

The victim even mentioned about his misbehavior to the superiors in the production house but was turned a blind eye to. After repeatedly mentioning about the same and suggesting a formal complaint, she was removed from the show. She further approached the Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) which only concluded that it was a criminal matter.

The actor has now been booked under the charges of Section 354-A (sexual harassment) and 354-B (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe her) of the IPC and section 67-A of the IT Act.
