Join UsAamir Khan’s upcoming magnum opus Thugs Of Hindostan is all set to release this year on Diwali and is surely the most anticipated movie right now. The big news is post Padmaavat, we will now be able to see Thugs Of Hindostan in an IMAX format.
IMAX on its Twitter handle, uploaded a video in which we see Aamir Khan describing himself as an actor from India. He shares his first IMAX experience, “Many years ago I was shooting a film in Sydney and there was an IMAX theatre close by and I walked up to it, there was a huge place and I went to see my first IMAX film. It was one of the most magical moments for me. This larger than life immersive experience for me and I kept coming back to the theatre day after day watching all the available films at that time. Since then I have been a huge IMAX fan.”
“It a great pleasure to announce that my new film Thugs Of Hindostan is a film that we all will be able to experience in IMAX. Thugs Of Hindostan has been produced by Yash Raj Films and produced by VIjay Krishna Acharya. It’s a huge action adventure film, shot on a large very large scale ideal for IMAX. I am looking forward for everyone across the world watching Thugs Of Hindostan on IMAX. Quite honestly I am also excited of watching it, I want to see it up there, huge. See you guys soon in an IMAX theatre,” he revealed.

It was during the shoot of Thugs of Hindostan in Jodhpur when a team of doctors had to be flown in to check on Bachchan, who had been involved in some action scenes for the movie and was required to wear heavy costumes.

The film also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh and Katrina Kaif. It is scheduled for a Diwali 2018 release.
The Yash Raj Films production is being helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, who directed Katrina and Aamir in Dhoom: 3. It is an adaptation of the 1839 novel Confessions of a Thug.
