
The most anticipated The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 opened very well at US box-office. The Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner starrer, which hit international theaters on Friday (November 18), collected US $283.5 million worldwide on its first day, according to an official release.
The film is all set to release in India on Thursday, November 24, 2011, by PVR Pictures, which would be releasing the movie in more than 155 screens all over the country.
Kamal Gianchandani, President, PVR Pictures, stated, “Everyone was expecting The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn to mark the new opening week record and it has absolutely embarked a great start with the outstanding International box-office collection. After the huge success of the movie worldwide we are extremely confident that the Twilight series diehards will flock the theatres and give Breaking Dawn a record opening here as well.”
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 follows the events of the previous movie, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, where Bella and Edward Cullen get married, leaving behind a heartbroken Jacob. When Bella faces an unexpected situation, she does what it takes to undergo the ultimate transformation and fight the final battle to save her love. It has been directed by Bill Condon and based on a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg.
