Confirming to previously reported rumours, Anurag Kashyap has signed up the evergreen duo of Rishi and Neetu Kapoor up for his next starring the couple’s talented son and B-town’s biggest heartthrob today, Ranbir Kapoor
Anurag was a little apprehensive while getting Neetu on board since he felt the role was enough sufficient to get a nod from the legendary actress’s side. But he soon realized that Neetu’s role in the film had enough meat and hence approached her with his film. With the first narration of the script, Neetu was excited to be a part of this project sharing screen space with her family for the first time.
Ranbir, on the other hand is even more excited to have both his parents on board for his film. But contrary to reports that suggested that the couple played parents to Ranbir in the film too, it is envisaged that Neetu and Rishi Kapoor will essay the role of Haryanvi cops. While Rishi would be the soft spoken one, Neetu on the other hand is all set to be loud and aggressive. Anurag who always desired to have both Ranbir and Rishi in one frame seems to have his wish fulfilled, along with Neetu who brings in the added grace to the cast.
Though previously Ranbir and Rishi’s sparking dad-son chemistry was effervescently portrayed in a Pepsi commercial, this would be the first time that they share screen space together in a film. And coming to Neetu Kapoor, Ranbir is mighty pleased with the news of his doting mom being a part of this project too. That’s some piece of good news for this cute mumma’s boy! Not just that, Ranbir, Rishi and Neetu, whoa are always busy with their professional commitments will also get to spend a nice family time off the sets too.
Ranbir will start shooting for the film, which goes on floors anytime soon and will be joined by Rishi and Neetu Kapoor later in the next leg of the shooting schedule. As of what we can predict, its Kapoor-mania all around for the next few months!
