Teen Thay Bhai managed to rake in only Rs. 2 crore (Rs. 20 million) net all-India collections in its first weekend at the box-office. The film took a very poor start at the box-office windows on Friday, making only Rs. 75 lakh. Om Puri and Shreyas Talpade, the only known faces of the film, could not make much difference to the initial collections after the film was rejected. As a result, the Saturday and Sunday collections of the film did not see a significant upsurge from Friday’s number.
Produced, promoted and released at a cost of about Rs. 12-13 crore, Teen Thay Bhai will turn out to be a losing proposition for the film’s producers in spite of the controlled budget.
