After the Tanu Weds Manu director Anand Rai announced a sequel to his 2011 film, the producers have dragged him in a legal mess. Producers, Vinod Bachchan, Sanjay Singh and Shailesh Singh claim that the director decided to come up with a sequel without their consent.
According to a popular daily, the producers maintain that Anand Rai is only the director of the film and that the film is a property of the producers.

The copyright of the film lies with the trio as Vinod holds a share of 51 per cent in the film, while his partners Sanjay Singh and Shailesh Singh hold the share of 24.5 per cent each.
Not opposing the sequel but the producer trio are miffed with the breach of process by the director. Looks like, the sequel for this Kangana Ranaut and R Madhvan film will have to wait for now.
