Mission Mangal is one of the most anticipated Bollywood films right now. The film tells the story of a major mission accomplished by ISRO and stars some of the famous names like Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Nithya Menen, Sharman Joshi & Kirti Kulhari in lead.

The film has been continuously making news ever since the first poster came out. It became a topic of discussion when everyone slammed makers for highlighting Akshay Kumar most by giving him at least 50% space in the poster compared to the 50% space given to rest of the star cast. Netizens were even more irked because the film is being touted to be as a women-centric one, but all the female stars were not given the deserving space.

Taapsee Pannu On Mission Mangal Poster Controversy: “Akshay Kumar Will…”

Now during a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Taapsee Pannu spoke about the matter and said that it happened because Akshay is the biggest crowd-puller among all of them. She said, “It is great people notice that also then those same people can do something about the collections of a female-driven film. Because Akshay Kumar will get the audience in the theatre, that is the hard fact. All of us are great to work in our own capacities. But, he will still manage to get a bigger number, at the end of the day. We cannot run away from this reality. Whatever issue happened with the poster, hope people realise it and do something about rather than questioning the makers. The audience can change things by walking into theatres where women are at the forefront. Hopefully, in the future it shouldn’t be about the gender, but whose films get the numbers. Eventually, it is a business and about how much money your films can make.”
