Last year #MeToo movement shook entire India, especially the Indian film industry. Inspired by a global campaign against sexual harassment and assault, women across the spectrum opened up and shared their stories about abuse by men in positions of power. Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu, who is all busy following her upcoming release ‘Mission Mangal‘s promotion, in an interview was asked about the #MeToo movement.

The actress during media interaction stated that while a lot of big and powerful names accused in the #MeToo movement have been given clean chits, doesn’t mean that one should lose hope on #MeToo movement

According to The Asian Age, the actress in the interview about #MeToo Movement said, “The industry was not ready for #MeToo at that moment, and it exploded. It can’t change overnight, but does that mean we need to give up,”on it? No, because then future generations will also keep going through it.”

Talking about her film ‘Mission Mangal‘, the film also stars Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharman Joshi among others in major roles.

Mission Mangal‘ is based on the real-life story of the Indian Space Research Organisation’s Mars Orbiter Mission which made Mars more accessible to explore.
