The actress, who has unapologetically spoken about what’s on her mind, doesn’t pay any heed to these trolls and continues to share her opinions on several issues. The actress opened up about her views on the CAA protest and JNU violence and it took an ugly turn when Dream Girl’ director Raaj Shaandilyaa trolled her for being so vocal on social media.
The director took to Twitter to write a derogatory remark about the Veere Di Wedding actress and went on to an extent where he called her a ‘cheap thing’. Raaj Shaandilyaa went on to compare her to a newspaper and said that even a daily tabloid is costlier than Swara.
His tweet read, “Sasti chizon pe dhyaan na de, Swara Bhasker se mehenga Dainik Bhasker bikta hai.” This did not go well with Swara, who made sure she gives it back to Raaj in the most befitting way.
The actress replied to his tweet saying, “अगली बार role offer करने और आपकी फ़िल्म के trailer को share करने की request वाले messages भेजने के पहले आप भी ‘सस्ती हरकतों’ के बारे में थोड़ा सोच लेना! :) Good luck @writerraj sir! (Think a little about ‘cheap antics’ before sending the message to the next time to offer the role and share the trailer of your film. good luck sir!)”

Following Swara’s savage reply, the director deleted his post on his social media platforms but he made sure he gives a reply to Swara as well. He wrote, “मेरी बात से यदि आपको ठीक नहीं लगी तो दिल से माफ़ी लेकिन एक गुज़ारिश आपसे भी है की आप भी किसीके बारे में कुछ बोलने से पहले सोचा करें चाहे वो देश हो लोग हों या फिर कोई व्यक्ति विशेष…रही बात मेरी तो अगली बार role ऑफर ज़रूर करूँगा क्यूंकि मुझे आपके एक्टर होने पे कोई आपत्ति नहीं… ( My heartfelt apology if you did not like anything that I said but I would like to request you that you should also think before speaking anything about anyone, whether it is the country or a particular person. And talking offering a role or not, I will definitely offer you a role because I don’t mind you acting0)”.

Raaj’s post came a day after Swara’s video went viral where she is appealing to people to head to the gates of JNU to “stop the rampage by alleged ABVP masked goons” on the students. She wrote in her tweet, “Urgent appeal!!!! To all Delhiites PLS gather in large numbers outside the Main Gate of JNU campus on Baba Gangnath Marg.. to pressure the govt. & #DelhiPolice to stop the rampage by alleged ABVP masked goons on JNU campus. PLS PLS share to everyone in Delhi!🙏🏿🙏🏿 9pm on 5th. Jan”
Swara’s reaction came after a group of masked miscreants entered the premises to the JNU college and attacked the students and faculty of the college, leaving many severely injured.
