Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker is known for voicing her opinions on several issues. Though she receives a lot of bashing for her remarks, a section of netizens and intellectuals have always supported her stand. The politically aware actress has also taken a dig on right-wing political groups and extremists on several occasions.

Recently, Swara Bhasker tweeted against the mob lynching of Tabrez Ansari, in the name of god. She also urged the people to get on the streets and raise the voice against the extremists.

Following the tweet, an IPS officer named Vipul Aggarwal trolled Swara for being selective in taking a stand. Replying to tweet, he quoted, “Dear @ReallySwara again you are proving that your swar comes out pretty selectively. Anyways!”.

Expectedly, Swara struck back with a smashing reply and advised him of carrying out the duties he is bounded to, being an officer. She quoted, ” Sir.. main actress hoon. My being ‘selective’ or not doesn’t harm anyone. You are an IPS officer, you are supposed to be an instrument of legitimate State power, a force of good- YOUR BEING SELECTIVE damages the very fabric of our nation & leads to horrors like #TabrezAnsari (1)”.

During the Lok Sabha polls campaigning, Swara Bhasker flew to Patna to lend support to CPI candidate Kanhaiya Kumar by campaigning for him in Begusarai. She wanted to be by Kanhaiya’s side when he files his nomination papers for the Begusarai Lok Sabha seat.
