Sushant Singh Rajput To Play Dhoni In Neeraj Pandey’s Next?

If report of a leading daily is to be believed, Neeraj Pandey is all set to helm a film on the life of cricket maverick Mahendra Singh Dhoni and has approached Sushant Singh Rajput for the role.

Rajput recently met Dhoni before he left for New Zealand recently. Though Sushant is completely immersed in the titular role of Byomkesh Bakshy in Dibaker Banerjee’s next, sources suggest that the actor is extremely excited in playing the much coveted character.

Pandey’s story traces the rise of the young Ranchi lad to the highs of success in his cricketing career. The film’s female lead hasn’t been zeroed on yet but the buzz points towards either Deepika Padukone or Shraddha Kapoor who are the top contenders to play Dhoni’s wife Sakshi. The film will go on floors by early 2015 and is expected to be made on a hefty budget bordering on nearly 100 crores.
