In a tragic turn of events, Balika Vadhu fame veteran actor Surekha Sikri suffered a brain stroke. The actor fell ill on Tuesday and was taken to Mumbai’s Criticare Hospital. What is shocking is that Sikri does not have enough funds to pay for the top facility hospitals, due to which she was admitted at Criticare. Below are all the details about the same.
As per the nurse who admitted the actor to the hospital, Sikri got the stroke while she was having her juice around 11:00 am today.

Talking to Mumbai Mirror about the same, the nurse said, “I rushed her to the hospital, and she is currently being treated. I couldn’t get her admitted to any other hospital because of high fees. We do not have that kind of money.” The nurse appealed people from the fraternity to help fund Surekha Sikri l’s treatment.

However, this is not the first time Sikri has suffered a brain stroke. Back in 2018, the veteran actor got the first stroke and was left paralysed because of it. She recovered from the first stroke soon after.
Talking about the work front, Surekha Sikri was last seen in Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Badhaai Ho. The actor won the prestigious national award for her part and was acclaimed by the critics and the audience in unison. Sikri is also a prominent name in the television industry. Her character Dadisa from Balika Vadhu is one of the most prominent personalities in the history of Indian television.
