Popular Indian singer Suchitra Krishnamoorthi who is known for releasing pop albums like Dole Dole, Dum Tara, Aha and Zindagi faced harassment online. With the outgrown popularity of social media, it has become an easy medium to get help also. What happened was Suchitra received a lewd message on the social media platform, Facebook. The Mumbai police department instantly came to her aid, and the case was then transferred to the Social Media cell and Cyber police station.
The singer was seen tweeting the screenshot of the text she got. She wrote,”When someone claims to work on National Prime Prevention council & harasses women this way @MahaCyber1 @MumbaiPolice pls take note. This message was sent to me on @facebook !”
Mumbai Police came to action instantly and wrote, “We have followed you. Please DM us your contact details.”
