Filmmaker Nikhil Advani has been taking constant advice from superstar Aamir Khan, who is known for his ‘perfectionist’ nature. Few months ago, Advani had told media how, after narrating the script of Katti Batti to Khan, he made an important change in it. “After listening to the script, Aamir suggested one very important change in the script, which according to me changed the entire film,” he said.

Well, yet again, the Director has received an “important” suggestion from the PK actor. According to a leading daily, Nikhil was asked by Khan to rewrite some of the English dialogues in Hindi to get noticed in the larger audience.

In an Interview with Midday, Nikhil Advani said, “Aamir said a considerable chunk of the audience did not know that he had made a film called ‘3 Idiots‘ (2009). The Hindi-speaking people thought the film’s name was ‘All is well‘ (because of the catchy song in the film). They did not connect with the ‘3 Idiots‘ title since it was in English. So, Aamir felt it was better to stick to Hindi so as to be able to widen our audience reach.”

Interestingly, like Mamu, even Imran Khan, who is the lead actor in ‘Katti Batti‘, suggested the same to Nikhil.

Imran told Midday, “I used to request Nikhil on a daily basis to rewrite English lines in Hindi. He would then ask me to do it. If you want to reach out to a bigger audience, then it is important to have Hindi lines.”

Though Imran rewrote few of his dialogues in Hindi, perfectionist Aamir thought that there is still an overuse of English dialogues in the film. Imran Khan again dubbed for his rewritten Hindi dialogues, however, the English dialogues of Kangana aren’t changed.

Katti Batti is scheduled to release on 18th September 2015.
