Shah Rukh Khan has been acquitted from 2012 Wankhede brawl case by Mumbai Police.
In 2012, MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) had imposed a 5 year ban on SRK for allegedly assaulting a security official after an IPL match. From 2012 to 2014, Shah Rukh was not allowed to enter Wankhede stadium. The ban was finally lifted last year.
Mumbai Police gave clean chit to SRK, since there was no strong evidence against him. SRK is the co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders – one of the IPL teams.
On work front, the actor has 2 movies in the pipeline, which are set to hit the screens next year. Raees is slated to release in January, while The Ring opposite Anushka Sharma is slated to hit in the second half of 2017.
