Sreedevi Launches Music Album Of 12-Year-Old

Big talent comes in small packages. Veteran actress and the heartthrob of millions, Sreedevi, should know. After all, she started acting at the tender age of four. Following in her footsteps is 12-year-old Raveena, film financier Bharat Shah’s grand-daughter, whose debut album, ‘From Deep Within’, was launched at the hands of the actress in a glittering ceremony at The Trident, Bombay on February 19.

Sreedevi, who was all praise for the young singer, said, “I am here to encourage Raveena who has done a great job with the album. I wish her all the very best.” The actress, however, shrugged off questions on her return to acting in films.

After the album launch, Raveena treated the audience to a rendition of the track ‘Mr. DJ’. ‘From Deep Within’, released by WOA Records, has 12 songs from genres as diverse as pop, dance, ballads and even the Gayatri Mantra, all sung by the debutante.

Anu Malik and Boney Kapoor were among the others present at the music release function.
