SP Balasubrahmanyam Upset Over PM Narendra Modi’s Partiality: “Stars Were Allowed Phones, Ours Were Confiscated”

When Bollywood actors including Shah Rukh Khan, Amir Khan and many others met Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi at the ‘Change Within’ meet and it grabbed all the limelight. Veteran Singer SP Balasubrahmanyam (SPB) who was also in attendance has now opened up about how upset he is with the partiality where on Bollywood stars were allowed to take their phones and rest’s phones were confiscated at the entry.

SPB is not for being outspoken and has voiced his opinion during many issues, Recently when the veteran singer met the PM, it was a meet to mark the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary. While the event was said to be successful, SPB has accused it to be partial and double standards.

The veteran singer took to the social media site Facebook and wrote, “I am grateful to Ramoji Raoji, (Eenadu), because of whom I was able to attend a reception hosted by our Hon. Prime Minister at his home on the 29th of Oct. Upon entering the premises, we were asked to leave our cellphones with the security personnel and were given tokens for the same. But I was bewildered at the STARS taking selfies with the PM on that day. THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO HMMM????? (sic)”

Earlier South superstar Ram Charan’s wife had also called out the event for not having enough south representation and had penned down a note addressing to the PM himself.
