From Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja to Mouni Roy, several celebrities have been stuck at different places but their home amid lockdown. Similar is the scenario with Sonu Nigam who is stranded in Dubai amid the on-going pandemic Coronavirus. While things haven’t been easy for the singer, now his old tweet on Muslim prayers is going viral and leaving him at the receiving end of backlash.

For the unversed, it all happened back in 2017, when Sonu Nigam one fine day stated that he is annoyed with the Muslim prayers that begin early morning and has ended up disturbing his sleep. He even called it ‘forced religiousness’. “God bless everyone. I’m not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning, When will this forced religiousness end in India,” the singer had tweeted.
