Sonam Kapoor and her close pal Swara Bhaskar have worked together in quite a few films like Raanjhana, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, and Veere Di Wedding. There were a lot of moments, where we could see their bonding.
Sonam has always been very keen on directing a film. Due to her tight schedule, she has not been able to take up any directing offers.

In an interview with Mid-day, Sonam admitted that she is working on her first project as a director. She said that she is processing an idea and has been fidgeting with it since a very long time.

Not only this, Sonam is so happy with her friend Swara Bhasker’s work, that she intends to cast her, in her first directorial venture. Sonam said, ”I have a couple of stories written for Swara. As colleagues, we interact a lot, and so, it’s easy for me to envision her in different roles. I am sure whenever the project rolls, it will turn out to be an amazing association. There are so many actors who leave me awestruck with their talents.”
To which Swara replied saying, “Sonam will make for a great director because she has some amazing ideas, besides having a great vision. I am looking forward to the day when she starts the project. She is one of my favorite people in the world. We have a great working relationship.”
We can’t just wait for the duo to work together.
