Join UsVikas Kumar, who is a well-known Haryanvi singer, has slapped a legal notice to the makers of an upcoming Bollywood film tilted Veere Ki Wedding for violating Copyrights Act.
The singer has accused the makers of copying the song Hat Ja Tau in the film which has been originally sung by him and is being used without his permission.
According to a report in DNA, the singer’s lawyer gave a statement to ANI saying, “They’ll have to seek an apology from Vikas Kumar, pay him Rs 7 crore as damages and not use the song without his permission. If they don’t do this, civil and criminal action will be taken against them after a week. We have also sent a complaint to Central Board of Film Certification (CFBC) Chairman Prasoon Joshi.”
Sapna Chaudhary, who has made her Bollywood debut with a bang post her stint in the Salman Khan-hosted controversial show Bigg Boss 11, is seen dancing on this Haryanvi song, Hat Jaa Tau in ‘Veere Ki Wedding’.
Veerey Ki Wedding stars Pulkit Samrat, Jimmy Shergill, Kriti Kharbanda, Yuvika Choudhary and Satish Kaushik. The film is set to release on March 9.

Asked if he is feeling the pressure to deliver more hit movies, Pulkit told IANS here: “I do not carry hangover of success to my new film. For me, every film is a new assignment. Therefore, I start it with fresh energy. I don’t let success or failure affect me.”
