Join UsAfter releasing a sizzling song featuring Katrina Kaif’s hot moves first, the makers released the trailer of Baar Baar Dekho yesterday. Starring Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina together for the first time, the film is a love story with a time-travel twist. What’s interesting is that while this may be a novel concept for Bollywood, of course we have seen such stories several times in Hollywood.
Taking off with a brief overview of the love story that is about to culminate into marriage, the film takes a detour with its ‘time-travel’ twist. The immediate scene post that is pretty much a reminder of Jennifer Garner’s 13 Going On 30.
Also, after the whole time travel thing is decoded by the lead character of Jai, there comes another Hollywood movie twist. Like Zac Efron’s 17 Again, our hero decides to go back and make things right for his perfect fairytale happy ending.
Obviously the above mentioned plot comes high on Dharma style. The music is expected to be good and with a glamorous couple in the lead, there are expectations that the film will attract younger crowds easily.
The film is Nitya Mehra’s directorial debut and we would just hope that the content is much better than what it looks in this trailer.
Katrina’s last film Fitoor opposite Aditya Roy Kapur bombed at the box office and Sidharth too is not exactly a bankable star when it comes to collections so the film may not be a money spinner as such.
