Shahid Kapoor’s Wedding : All That You Need To Know

At the recently commenced IIFA weekend in 2015, Arjun Kapoor cracked a joke on Shahid Kapoor, calling him ‘Sabka Ex’. The confident, gorgeous actor laughed sportingly.

Shahid Kapoor has come a long way from his ‘casanova’ image. Now, the 34 year old actor will tie the knot with Mira Rajput, a young college graduate with no Bollywood connection whatsoever. After his break up with Priyanka Chopra, Shahid actually had said in a TOI interview that, ‘I won’t be dating an actress anymore.’ To be fair, he hasn’t since then!

Mira Rajput, his bride to be, has been kept under wraps. The wedding also resembles a secret services project, with no details shared with the media by Shahid or his family. Rajput is an LSR graduate with some impressive internships on her CV and comes from a Punjabi business family. Mira has two siblings and has always been a keen student.

They might have been born more than a decade apart, but Mira & Shahid are united by the religious sect of Radha Soami Satsang Beas. Both families follow this practice, and Shahid was introduced to this cult by his father Pankaj Kapoor; their common religious belief reportedly brought the couple together.

With a January engagement, and a July wedding, Shahid is clearly rushed to marry his young bride. Sources say he will insist on she studying further after their marriage. For now, Mira has been spotted with Shahid doing up a new sea facing home for both.

The wedding will take place on July 7 at the Oberoi, Gurgaon. Shahid has rushed through the Jhalak Dikhla Jaa shoot to ensure he makes it to the ceremonies on time. His career too is on a upswing with the much anticipated ‘Shaandaar’ & ‘Udta Punjab’ set for release.
