Shahid Kapoor’s Bollywood journey hasn’t been a cakewalk. There have been failures, sabbaticals, typecast and much more. He always mentioned that despite his dad Pankaj Kapur has been in the industry, it didn’t help him much in the career.

When the actor made his debut in 2003 with Ishq Vishk, people couldn’t stop gushing over his good looks. He was termed as the ‘chocolate boy’ of Bollywood and that tag remained with him for quite a long time.

In an interview with PTI, Kapur shared, “Not just because he is my son, but as a colleague, as an actor, I could see the potential in him even 10 years back at the time when he was only being considered a good-looking chocolate hero.”

Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor was last seen in the film Kabir Singh which released this year. Also starring Kiara Advani, Kapoor received a lot of praise for his performance as a broken-hearted and alcoholic lover in the film.
