Shahid Kapoor To Pair Opposite Deepika Padukone In Padmavati?

If rumours are to be believed, Shahid Kapoor might play the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh of Mewar in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next Padmavati opposite Deepika Padukone.

Grapevine has it that Bhansali wants Shahid to play the character of Chittor King who is married to Rani Padmini of Chittorgarh, which will be played by Deepika.

If things go as per Bhansali’s wish then it will be the first time when Shahid will be working with Bhansali, Ranveer Singh and Deepika.

Ranveer Singh will be playing the role of Delhi Sultan Alauddin Khilji. The shooting of the movie is likely to start from September.
