Of the two films, one is expected to be a firecracker of sorts with the lord of action Prabhu Deva being at the helm of everything. The director-actor duo is expected to shatter the box office, not just with an out and out paisa vasool pot boiler action flick, but also with some enticing and groovy moves. Considering the fact that both his previous films have gone on to pipe in record breaking collections at the box office, this one, tentatively titled, ‘Namak’ is all set to pack in the right punch and the right spices of action with an extra dose of salt in it. The other film that he has taken up is spearheaded by the unconventionally talented director of Shaitan fame, Bejoy Nambiar.

Speaking on the occasion Shahid is hopeful about his films hitting the 100 crore mark but he also adds that it always takes a big fat name from the industry to pull it off, be it a Khan, a Devgan or a Kumar. He also respects the fact that all the actors who have joined this mammoth brigade have an experience of two decades backing them and they deserve it totally. But everything, as he puts it, depends on audience’s choices, likings, disliking and preferences most importantly. As a teenager, Shahid reminisces the films that our Shahenshah and Disco Dancer used to do, their approach, style, everything was just class!

Today, he believes Action has become the hot topic of discussion at everyone’s coffee table. So watching films like Bodyguard and Wanted gives him immense pleasure and a desire to start doing them too.

Previously Shahid has donned the role of an action hero to consummate perfection and earnestness with Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Kaminey’. Yet, the action films would definitely be a nice challenge for Shahid this time round. Putting it off would not be easy but once he crosses the hurdle, none can hold him back!
