Seems, it is time to take vows of togetherness, at least on screen. Never mind if couples in the industry sometimes find it difficult to stay together for even one lifetime, it is just the opposite in our films. At least two films about rebirths are being made currently, in which the hero and heroine keep meeting in one lifetime after another. Actually, the title of Kunal Kohli’s Shahid–Priyanka starrer says it all because the film about three lifetimes (two rebirths) is called Janam Janam Ka Saath. The film was earlier titled Janam Janam Ka Saath Hamara Tumhara but the last two words were sacrificed to keep the name shorter. This love story starts in year 1900 and goes on till 2011, in the process spanning three lifetimes of the protagonist.
