The biggest controversy of 2012 so far finally seems to be over. After Shah Rukh Khan allegedly slapped Shirish Kunder at a party recently, the two, along with Farah Khan, met at the former’s Mumbai bungalow, Mannat, and have called it a truce.
After the reported scuffle between SRK and Farah’s husband, Shirish Kunder, Farah’s brother, Sajid Khan, took the initiative to end the bad blood between the two parties. Sajid told CNN IBN, “The moment they met at Mannat, they were hugging and there were tears, and everything became alright… At the end of the day it’s a relationship of 20 years; it’s a family. Which family doesn’t have ups and downs?” Sajid also added that he contacted Shah Rukh Khan’s wife, Gauri, the moment he found out about the incident through the news media and arranged the meeting.

Shah Rukh Khan had reportedly hit Shirish at a party thrown by Sanjay Dutt on Jan 30. Among many reasons being attributed for the scuffle was the director’s badmouthing of SRK’s Ra.One. After the controversy erupted, Farah Khan had told the media that she was hurt by the behaviour of her dear friend but also mentioned that they did not plan to register an FIR against the star.

Shirish sealed the issue with a tweet Tuesday night (Jan 31), “Shahrukh and I just met, had a heart to heart chat and have resolved all misunderstandings. All animosity is now sorted for good. Some incidents in our life when resolved makes relationships stronger than they were ever before”.
It looks like there’s finally a happy ending. After all, with all the action, tears, drama and controversy, the whole incident had all the elements of a Bollywood movie. Anyone willing to write a script?
