Veteran actor Shakti Kapoor, who played one of the seven brothers in 1982 release ‘Satte Pe Satta‘ starring Amitabh Bachchan, wants his character Mangal Anand, to be portrayed by none other than his son, Siddhanth Kapoor.
Shakti, in an interview to a leading tabloid, stated that his son Siddhanth will be the perfect choice to play the character which he had played in the original, he also believes that no one else other than his son can give complete justice to the character.

In an interview to Mumbai Mirror, Shakti said, “I would like to see Siddhanth essay the role I played in the cult film,”
The actor also further added, “No one can play the character better than him. But I don’t know. It’s up to Farah and Rohit.”
When asked about Rohit and Farah, the ‘Andaz Apna Apna‘ actor said, “I’m in touch with Farah but I haven’t spoken to her about ‘Satte Pe Satta’ remake. She is a good friend and she knows Siddhanth very well too. If she feels he fits the part, she will call him. It’s her call as a director. She is an amazing writer and has a great sense of comedy, emotions,entertainment. And she’s got a wonderful producer in Rohit. I’m sure they’ll make a fantastic film.”

Talking about ‘Satte Pe Satta‘ remake, the film has been in news from a very long time following its star cast. As per reports, the lead character in the remake was at first offered to Ajay Devgn, but the actor turned down the offer.
According to latest reports, the talks are on between the makers and Bollywood ‘Greek God’ Hrithik Roshan, as the makers have approached him to play the character of elder brother, Ravi, played by Big B in the original.
‘Satte Pe Satta‘, was one of the biggest hits in Hindi film industry when it was released in 1982.
Apart from Amitabh and Shakti, the original also had Hema Malini, Amjad Khan among others in major roles.
