Sanjay Dutt who was released from the Yerwada Jail on 24th December, 2014 for a 14-day furlough has now asked for another 14-day extension. The actor had requested for a furlough in order to ring in the New Year with his family and as the leave was to end on Thursday, we hear, the actor has asked for an extension.

Dutt is currently serving the remaining 42 months sentence for illegal possession of an AK-56 rifle before the 1993 serial blasts in Mumbai. After being repeatedly granted with paroles, now the government has decided to probe into this matter and check under which law he is being granted bail while others who have also requested for a furlough were denied.
Seems, this time, the actor may not get the extension considering he just received an out for the New Year.
