After this week’s Red Alert, Sameera Reddy is excitedly awaiting the release of her Yeh Hausla, directed by Nagesh Kukunoor. The actress, who has so far been known for her glamorous and sexy roles, is particularly happy about these two films because she has been able to break away from her image in both of them.

In Red Alert, she plays a non-glamorous rape victim who is forced to join a Naxalite group. “Working in Yeh Hausla was a very enriching experience,” recalls Sameera “because Nagesh would settle for nothing but the best. He would keep asking for more retakes till he got what he wanted.” Yeh Hausla is the film for which Sameera Reddy has lost weight. A story about strong Rajasthani women, it has been shot in the desert state. This film will mark the return of Tanuja to the big screen after a long gap. It also stars Tanvi Azmi.
