Actor Salman Khan appeared in the Jodhpur court yesterday for the hearing of his illegal arms case of the black buck killing. While the actor maintained that he was innocent, when the court asked for his background, the actor surprised everyone with his answer.
After specifying that he is Indian by religion, when asked about his caste, Salman said that his caste is ‘Hindu-Muslim’. The actor explained the same by stating that his mother is a Hindu whereas his father is a Muslim and hence he considers himself to be a Hindu-Muslim.
The next hearing of the case is set to be on the 4th of May where Salman’s defense will be presenting their side to the court. Salman has been accused of using an unlicensed weapon to poach two blackbucks during the shooting of a film in 1998.
