Come October and our Dabangg Khan returns to the small screen for the sixth edition and his third stint of the much acclaimed and loved reality show, Bigg Boss! Salman who has taken the reins of the show from Amitabh Bachchan had taken the show to an ultimate crescendo with his impactful appearances in the last few seasons.
The TVR ratings of the show had shown a steep rise in the coming years since our Chulbul Pandey made his repute on television with Bigg Boss! Last year’s Bigg Boss brought in a lot of accusations and allegations against the Ek Tha Tiger superstar. While some called him biased, others raised fingers on his character by linking him up with a certain Mahek Chahal, who according to critics was favoured by Khan.
At the media conference held on Sunday, Salman clearly stated that he does not have any hand in selecting the contestants, hence rubbishing all rumours and putting all allegations to rest! He also added that he gets to know about the contestants only at the last minute as the list is held private by the production team. But last year, things got way out of hands after some scandalous and adamant show of arrogance from some of the contestants which ultimately forced Salman to react.
He retorted that though people who opt for the show try their level best to hog the spotlight but ultimately it’s the dignified one who walks away with the cake. Err the ‘1 crore suitcase’!
However, the entire team has brought in some amendments in the show’s policies. While most of the previous seasons were enveloped by back biting, bitching and groupisms, the sixth season promises to be more subtle and family oriented. Plus, there are two cuddly additions in the Bigg Boss house in the form of a fish and a pet parrot. Also, the doors of the house is open to common people this time, with millions enrolling and registering for the same.
Salman who always adds that additional charm and spunk to this rather zingy reality show, is all set to provide the necessary grandeur to this season that promises to be bigger and better! The show is reportedly going to be telecasted worldwide on Colors, October 7 onwards! Get ready for the daily dose of mirch masala, BB is back and how!
