Sky high expectations. Ready is bound to take an earth-shattering opening. Two songs from the film, Dhinka chika and Character dheela, are already a rage. Plus Salman Khan is riding high on the success of last year’s Dabangg.
Ready Will Open Better Than Dabangg?
At several centres, Ready may open even better than ‘Dabangg’, notwithstanding the fact that ‘Dabangg’ was an Eid release. Don’t be surprised if the first weekend’s all-India net collection of ‘Ready’ is around Rs 35-40 crore (Rs. 350-400 million). ‘Dabangg’ had a net collection of Rs. 47 crore (Rs. 470 million) in its first weekend while Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots made Rs. 41 crore (Rs. 410 million).
Ready Plot:
Salman Khan is a bachelor & heir to a huge company but wants to enjoy life before getting married. While his father disapproves of his lifestyle, his uncles pamper him instead. Asin Thottumkal, who is an orphan, lands in India to be with her uncles who are eager to usurp her property. While Salman falls for Asin, he decides to teach her uncles a lesson.
Asin’s uncles cannot see eye to eye and are bent on marrying Asin to their respective brothers-in-law. Now Salman devices a plan so that the uncles want to readily marry off Asin to him.
Ready releases in India on 3rd June, 2011.
