Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah has been in the headlines right from its announcement as it featured an unusual pair of superstar Salman Khan and supremely talented Alia Bhatt. Apparently, the movie has been shelved but Salman made a cryptic tweet about his arrival on Eid, 2020 with a different outing.

Now, while the reasons behind the shelving Inshallah are still unknown, the star himself has spoken clear and loud on his equation with the maverick filmmaker. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, he said, “Sanjay was a friend even before we started working on Khamoshi. He had come to meet me through Manisha Koirala. After that, we collaborated on Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. When he came to me with this film, I liked it and we decided to work together again. One thing I can say is that Sanjay won’t do gaddaari with his film. I want him to make the film he wants to make. Nothing changes between us as friends and I’m sure nothing has changed in Sanjay’s heart for me. I’m extremely close to his mother (Leela) and sister (Bela). I wish him all the best. He and I will still work in future on a film, Inshallah.”

A few weeks ago, it was learnt that the project is facing some financial issues and also there were creative differences between Salman and Bhansali. “Salman didn’t insist, forget dictate, any changes in the script but Bhansali and he have amicably decided to not make this film for now,” revealed a source close to the development.

Well as the actor said, we hope everything is good between the duo and might see them collaborating soon in the future.
