Salman Khan starrer Dabangg bagged the award for wholesome entertainment at the 58th National Film Awards this year.
In a change from the usual winners, regional films seemed to bag many of the awards. Another Bollywood film Ishqiya proved to be a strong contender by sweeping the awards in the music category with Rekha Bhardwaj for Best Female Playback Singer, Vishal Bhardwaj for Best Music and Kamod Karade for Audiography of the film. Rishi Kapoor’s comedy film Do Dooni Chaar won the award for Best Hindi Film.
Rajnikant may be in the hospital but here’s some news to put a smile on that face: Endhiran – Robot won Best Production Design and Best Special Effects.
