With barely 15 days to go, we got our hands on ‘Guru Ji’ AKA Pankaj Tripathi, who was a major part of the Sacred Games’ climax, and he’s spilling the beans about the show and his sacrificing prep.
During a special event today, Tripathi who’ll be seen playing Ganesh Gaitonde’s third father opened up about the fact that the show is going to witness a lot of sacrifices. When asked what the biggest sacrifice he had to make is, he replied as, “I’ve been in the Hindi cinema since the last 15 years, but I’ve never got rid of my beard. However, for the character of Guru Ji, I had to make that sacrifice. Moreover, for a month before shooting, I secluded myself from the outer world and contained myself in a room, even my family started worrying about the kind of preparation I was doing.”
When asked about the kind of relation between his character and Gaitonde that we may witness, he answered in a humorous way that totally cracked us up as he said, “Jhalak Dikhla Jaa”. While that may sound bizarre to many, there’s indeed a cryptic meaning behind it. Can y’all help us decode it? The actor who was all dressed up in his reel avatar and it was one treat to watch.
