Rumour has it that Rohit Shetty is considering Alia Bhatt to play the lead role for Golmaal 4, since Kareena Kapoor Khan will not star in the fourth installment of the franchise due to her pregnancy.
A leading daily even reported that the Udta Punjab star has almost been finalized by Rohit for the role.

Yesterday Alia’s manager paid a visit to Rohit at his Andheri office and if gossip mongers are to be believed, the two spent a lot of time discussing Alia’s character and other co-actors in the movie.

Early this year, Rohit made an announcement that he will begin the shooting of Golmaal 4 by the end of 2016. The movie is slated to release in Diwali 2017.
Alia is currently shooting for Gauri Shinde’s Dear Zindagi along with Shah Rukh Khan which is slated to release on November 25 and will be clashing with Vidya Balan starrer Kahaani 2. Alia is also lined up with Badrinath Ki Dulhania along with Varun Dhawan.
