Ranveer Singh To Play Rapper For Zoya Akhtar’s Next

After Dil Dhadakne Do, Ranveer Singh and director Zoya Akhtar are all set to reunite for another flick, tentatively named Gully Boy.

Ranveer will be playing the character of an underdog who rises from the slums of Mumbai to become a rapper. The movie will be based on themes like street life, economic inequality and homosexuality.

According to sources, the movie will be based on the life of rappers like Divine and Naezy. The cast of the movie is yet to be finalised. This is an extremely ambitious project for Zoya and will come up next year.

Ranveer will be rapping in Hindi, Urdu and Marathi for the movie. Currently, Ranveer is shooting for Befikre along with Vaani Kapoor in Paris.
