Join UsRanveer Singh, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming historical romantic film ‘Bajirao Mastani‘ hopes that he will make Salman Khan proud with his performance in ‘Bajirao Mastani‘.
Salman Khan was supposed to play the character of ‘Bajirao’ in this Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus but things didn’t materialize and Ranveer Singh stepped in.
During an promotional event of the film, Ranveer said that they know that Salman Khan (Sir) was the original choice for the film. He (Ranveer) has worked very hard to play the Bajirao onscreen and he hopes that he will make Salman proud.
He also said that he was in tears when heard the narration of the film and it took sometime for him to settle down. It is an intense film with intense love story. He was frozen after listening to the narration. The film is getting ready and is over a month away from its release.
The ‘Dil Dhadakne Do‘ actor further added that, he found his role very unique and distinct and it is something he had never done before. Bajirao was a Peshwa, a warrior and a great man. He is extremely proud that he has been selected to portray ‘Bajirao’ onscreen. He has done his best and hopes that he has been able to give justice to his character.
‘Bajirao Mastani‘ which is set to release on 18th December 2015 also stars Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone in key roles.
