Ranu Mondal & Himesh Reshammiya’s Teri Meri Kahani Gets A DJ Sami Twist

DJ of the Decade, DJ Akbar Sami recently completed the recording of his upcoming reprise version of the Song – Teri Meri Kahani. The original song is sung by Himesh Reshammiya and Ranu Mondal for Himesh’s upcoming film Happy Hardy and Heer.

Though this song will not feature in the movie, it’s a promotional video and is expected to release in the first week of December, ahead of the movie’s release.

Ask DJ Sami, what could audience expect in this new version and he shares, “Himesh Reshammiya wanted this version on the same lines as my version of Aashiq Banaya Aapne, for which we had collaborated long ago. And it was a huge hit then. The genre had to be same and not something that had too much of EDM that we mostly hear today. This is more on tunes of funky music with disco beats and keeping in mind the sound that is globally popular currently”.

Many few know that DJ Akbar and Himesh have been collaborating on music from the beginning of Himesh’s career. The association started with Salman Khan’s popular number – Just Chill and then there was no looking back. Sami has recreated multiple songs for Himesh since then including Aashiq Banaya Aapne, Jhalak Dikhla Ja, Suroor and more. DJ Sami has also been associated with other popular Music Directors and Singers like Sonu Nigam, Pritam, Mithoon, Anu Malik and more for a number of songs. One of his popular recreations includes the Golmaal Title track.

With the original number being a hit now added with the beats of DJ Sami, we do hope this one to be the party starter this new year.
