When asked if Randeep saw Akshay Kumar’s film, the actor according to a Mumbai Mirror report said, “Nope, it didn’t excite me much.”

Talking about his version getting shelved and how he is still upset about the fact, he added, “It hurt that the audience could not see what would probably have been a more authentic version with more real emotions of the story. That apart, you learn to move on. Through the journey, I learnt the principles of Sikhism and I’m a better person now.”

Meanwhile, backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Kesari went on to become a masses favourite and the film stroke the correct cord of patriotism making its way to the audience’s hearts.
