Ranbir Kapoor All Set To Become ‘Roy’

If you are a debutante director in the tinsel town and if by any chance you are an old friend to Ranbir Kapoor, then there are high probable chances that the actor might just agree to do your film. Happened with Ayan Mukherji when he approached the young gun of B-Town for Wake Up Sid and now yet again has happened with Vicky Singh when he verged on for Roy.

Ranbir’s old school friend Vicky Singh drew up plan for a movie titled Roy, which centers about the central character by the same name; a con man. Ranbir just clinched the deal and nodded a yes.

Being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Roy would also feature Arjun Rampal essaying a pivotal role. If sources are to be believed, then the Lat Lag Gayi girl Jacqueline Fernandez has been finalised as the one of the leading lady, while the other is yet to be casted. Strings of names are being speculated for the role but the name that is heard more often is of someone who is Ranbir’s “just friend”; Katrina Kaif.

The cine is reported to go on floors as soon as Kapoor lad wraps up filming for Abhinav Kashyap’s Besharam and Ayan Mukherji’s Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani.

After turning Besharam and proving it to the world that Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, Ranbir is all booked for Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet and Anurag Basu’s biopic on Kishore Kumar. We wonder where this ladies’ man has room for accommodating Roy in his ultra-packed schedule. Yet despite being all busy and packed, we are certain that the industrious chirag of Kapoor Khandan; Ranbir; will try balancing all his projects. After all we all love to watch him around, scorching the silver screen with his sheer charm.
