Rana Daggubati is back in circulation in the B-town. Exactly a year back he was heavily promoting Dum Maaro Dum along with Abhishek Bachchan and Bipasha Basu. Circa 2012 and he will be hitting the road once again for Ram Gopal Varma’s Department

“The most thrilling aspect of ‘Department’ is that I have been allowed an opportunity to work with legends like Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt”, says Rana.
Now that Department is gearing up for release after a couple of months, Rana is also busy finalising some other films. However he isn’t restricting himself to just Hindi films and is happily enjoying a parallel career down South as well.
“Yes, there would be dual focus for sure. I am comfortable with Tamil as well as Telugu. I was born in Madras and my first language was Tamil. Since I come from a film family, I grew up watching films across all languages. Today industry is making so many unique films and telling different stories. Newer concepts are coming in and I would be more than happy to grab as many good films as they come regardless of whichever language they are being made”, Rana brightens up here.
Multiple languages are also beneficial for the handsome hunk who is still enjoying his largely single status despite occasional link-ups.
Smiles Rana, “Well, it feels very nice to have a strong female following. It is a pleasant surprise though since the films that I have done are very genre based films and not quite the mainstream kind that girls usually enjoy. I am yet to be seen in a quintessential Bollywood romcom. Still, if a section of female audience has liked me in the films that have released so far, it lends a great sense of acceptance.”
Well Rana, we would be looking forward to you romancing the girls and serenading them around trees. Now that would indeed make for a different sight indeed.
