Purani Haveli Maker Shyam Ramsay Dies At 67, Funeral To Be Held Today

Filmmaker Shyam Ramsay who made his name with horror films like Veerana, Purana Mandir, Purani Haveli, Bandh Darwaza, is no more. The veteran filmmaker died at the age of 67 and pneumonia has been suggested as the cause of his death.

“With profound grief and sorrow we inform you about the sad demise of Shyam Ramsay. He was suffering from pneumonia and passed away around 5 am this morning,” Shyam’s nephew Amit Ramsay told Indian Express confirming the news.

Shyam along with his brother Tulsi Ramsay were hugely popular in the ’80s and ’90s for their work in the horror genre. While Tulsi passed away last year, now Shyam has left the mortal world.
