Wednesday was a sad day for India when the news of Dr. Priyanka Reddy, a veterinary doctor from Shamshabad in Hyderabad broke the internet. Priyanka was found dead with her body partially burnt after she was raped by 4 truck drivers. Bollywood shared their angst over this brutal incident where we saw biggies like Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Anushka Sharma react to the news. Joining the bandwagon is Rakhi Sawant.

Rakhi Sawant, just like any other Indian right now, was devastated and angry to read the news. She posted a video where she talked about how women should practice safety themselves as living in a country like India, we all know that no one is going to help the women. She went on to urge women to make sure that if they are travelling on a highway then they have enough petrol in their scooters. She alarmed them to not stop at any highway at all.

Rakhi went on to challenge PM Narendra Modi as well. She asked him to give the harshest punishment to the 4 truck rivers who did the wrongdoing. She asked PM Modi to give the accusers the same punishment as a person in the Taliban would get to rape a woman. She asked him to cut off their genitals.

In another video, Rakhi again calls out to PM Narendra Modi and tells him that he is responsible for the safety of the women in India and he should be very strict with the accusers of Priyanka Reddy’s rape. She said that the men should be dipped in acid rather than just hanging them to death.

Earlier, Salman Khan posted a very strong message and said, “#JusticeForPriyankaReddy These r the worst kind of shaitans disguised in the human form! The pain, torture n death of innocent women like nirbhaya n Priyanka Reddy should now get us together n put an end to such shaitans who live among us, before any other innocent woman…(1/2)”

He did not stop at that and further wrote, “(2/2)..n their family go through this extreme agony n loss as this has to be stopped. Let betii bachao not be just a campaign. This is the time to let these demons know that v all stand together. May Priyanka’s soul rest in peace #JusticeForPriyankaReddy”

Well, this is indeed very sad and terrifying news for everyone and we all hope that Priyanka reddy’s accusers are given the right kind of punishment for this brutal act.
