Former lovers are never the right people and there’s a reason why they are called ex-es. Actress Priyanka Chopra might soon understand the better meaning of the above as her ex-boyfriend Aseem Merchant has decided to launch his newly founded production house with a film based on Priyanka’s early life in the industry and her eventual fall-out with Prakash Jaju, her personal manager.

The film will primarily be based on Jaju, who had a fallout with the actress in 2004 and was later imprisoned in 2008 for more than 2 months. Jaju claimed that Chopra owed him a hefty sum of money and was refusing to clear his dues. The relationship between Jaju and Chopra soured when he constantly interfered in the actress’ personal life which obviously wasn’t taken kindly to.

Priyanka’s father Late Dr. Ashok Chopra filed a case on Jaju for threatening the Chopra family and making false allegations against Priyanka. Jaju disappeared from scene and was later found in Mau, Madhya Pradesh from where he was arrested.

Aseem and Priyanka knew each other during her modelling days and were very much in a relationship when the actress was crowned Miss World in 2000. However, it is questionable whether this film can take off at all if Priyanka raises objections on it. Though both Aseem and Jaju maintained, it won’t be a sensationalized work and will be tackled by a fine director, Priyanka’s objection might affect the film altogether.
