Priyanka Chopra Roped In By ABC For American TV Series

Recently, we have seen that American TV shows have started giving Indian actors a good chunk of attention thanks to the increasing viewership in India. While actors such as Suraj Sharma and Nimrat Kaur have landed up with plum roles in Homeland, it seems Bollywood’s diva Priyanka Chopra too will soon join the bandwagon.

Priyanka has already made it big in the international circuit, thanks to her music albums which received a lot of popularity and thus ABC (American Broadcasting Company) has now shown interest in casting the actress for a TV series. If reports are to be believed, the actress has fetched a deal similar to that of Sofia Vergara of Modern Family.

The series will be revolving around Priyanka’s character mainly and with this, she would be the first Indian actress to have signed a lead role in an American sitcom.
